TR 1 Other bugs:
"Atlantis" -- The "bacon-copy" has been stucked into the column... (Sender: ELEN /TRC-Forum a.k.a. TRF)
ELEN has sent a screenshot about this rare bug recently: our "bacon-copy" has been stucked into the wall somehow, during the operation. It's not possible to save the situation itself, because we won't see the same results after the reloading: the double will stand on her feet again. This is a rare bug, which happens randomly, and so far we don't know what exactly triggers it. If the bug is triggered, only a reloading of an earlier savegame would help... (SYS)
ELEN says... Ok, I took a look and I saw that another person experienced the same bug. The explanation is exactly the same: I managed to do the timed run and when I led the freak to the lava pit, the camera panned back, but I didn't see it falling into the pit. I then checked the door and it was not open!!! wtf??!!?? I first thought that I didn't manage it, so I took a look in the room in order to find the double. I couldn't. I jumped towards the slide I came from, in case I could re-set the area and make this thing to appear. No luck. (SYS: yes, because it works only with reloaded states.) I then hanged around the room a bit and I saw it was stuck in the corner. It could move its head (if I moved mine), but it couldn't move its body no matter what!! I had to re-load and try again. To tell you the truth, I didn't save and load whilst it was stuck there.
My personal explanation: the freak got confused. There must be something wrong in its programming. Lara can climb on a pillar, because she somehow "touches" it. This thing only copies Lara. If Lara jumps up, it does too. If Lara grabs a ledge, it does too. The only difference is that it doesn't "touch" the pillar. It is programmed to raise and lower its body in the air, following Lara's moves. And since we run like lunatics in order to catch up the time, we may make quick moves that the freak cannot keep up with. I'll give it another try though in the future.
"St. Francis' Folly" -- Underwater "fence bug" and bug with the water... (Sender: Zebius/TRC-Forum
I found another bug in TR1 in St. Francis' Folly. I
don't know if I am first one who discovered it, but I noticed that this bug
is not mentioned at Your hungarian site. There is a place with the water and
the crocodile, and there is a underwater grate. Normally it's necessary to
move the lever in order to open the grate, and then the water flows away and
you can proceed further. But I managed to get through the closed grate, I
swam further and then suddenly Lara jumped off the water to the space where
there is no water. It's funny 'cause it looks like water wall, you can go
back to that water wall and you start to swim again. I attached 2 savegames.
SYS' comments: Hah, that's a great bug, thanks Zebius! I still don't know,
how did You manage to swim through that closed gate..it seems to be an underwater
"fence bug" or "door bug" (name is based on TRGB2's similar
bugs). The "waterwall" is great indeed: it remembers me to an old
TReditor level (there were a few similar situations like this), called "The
Fenician Temple II.", made by the good old Turbo Pascal... :) Download

"Tomb Of Qualopec" - Savebug with the Scion...After picking up the Scion, save and then reload the game: it will be right there, again. We can do this as many times as we want...(SYS) Download
"St. Francis' Folly" --The infamous "block bug"...And so here it is: the infamous "block bug", which is indispensable for the "corner bug" too! Actually this is a unique program-feature and is not a real bug, altough this is a bug-situation. Anyway, the problem is familiar,it's just we have neither pictures nor savegames about it so far. Let's check this out! In the chamber of Thor, wait for the big hammer to fall and then quickly run to the place where the block will fallen. It you succeed in a way it is meant to be, the block will fall on Lara Herself, but She won't die under it's weight. Instead of that, the "block bug" will put Her up onto the top of the block.. .(SYS) Download
Palace Midas: this is a so-called "trigger malfunction". All the enemies possess a so-called trigger (just like everything else), a "release" linked to a certain area. Walking through such an area animates opponents into action. But if we manage to avoid these areas, enemies will not show up. The case was just the same with the Colosseum-level sent by VonCroy earlier where monkies stayed unanimated. Additionally, this trick is extremely eye-catching in TR1+Gold as enemies stay frozen. But as from TR2, opponents only show up when we acually touch down upon these trigger points, so since TR2 came out, we are not able to come accross frozen opponents.. Download
Colosseum: There is a ledge at the end of the level with two monkeys on it. If you jump onto this ledge from the opposite side (from where it should be impossible), one of the monkeys will stand still waiting for Lara to arrive from the right direction. So the monkey wouldn't move even on Lara's arrival and she would not point her gun at it. And there is another thing. If you use this maneuver you don't even have to go into the arena. When you got the key you can make a jump from the other side and finish the level.Download
"Obelisk Of Khamoon"
- 'trigger bug' (Discovered by Jani)
I arrived from a non-expected direction to the panther-mummy in TR1's "Obelisk
Of Khamoon". Naturally, it's petrified. Lara can stuck into it, and She
gets rotateable by the left and right keys, and She jumps strangely by ALT.

"Tomb Of Tihocan"
- 'savebug'...
After killing the centaurs and Pierre (optional), save in the last room, and
after a reload, check the centaurs again: and they'll blow apart again! So,
load the saved game, and then run back to the centaurs, to watch their blowings
again. Since it's a savebug, it works fine, for any times...

Obelisk Of Khamoon - Some special
"block bugs" with objects... (Discovered by Petúnia)
Actually, these bugs are "block bugs", but in this case they work
with objects instead of the "corner bug's" walls/columns! The fence
takes Lara onto the top in the first situation, and the sarcophagus does the
same in the second situation, as it also saves Lara from dying. The point
is that the program doesn't allow Lara to stuck into anything (walls/columns
or objects), unless if there's the ceiling as "top", because the
"block bug" couldn't help in that case.....(SYS) Download
I found this block bugs in the "Sanctuary of the Scion"level again. It seems that the head of this right-hand Sphinx is totally a huge bug. When the head is underwater swimming in to its neck and swimming forward the bug throws Lara above the head. When the head is out of the water standing on the fore-edge of the head Lara can't jump forward into the air as the block bug throw back her on the head. As I experienced these mistakes don't work on the head of the left-hand Sphinx. (Petúnia)
Completion: The bugs work with the head of the left-hand Sphinx also. These are "block bugs"with objects again, as if we take a look at the faces, we could see that they are actually objects: they are carved and true to type objects and they completely disappear when we're looking them from an exact point. The point is that the program makes differences between the walls and objects, but it doesn't allow us to stuck into any of them....(SYS) Download
Natla's Mines--The moveable block
(Petunia)
I found this bug simply because if it's possible I like pulling the blocks
out instead of pushing them in -after all you never know if there's something
behind them.:-) That's how it happened that I discovered that this block can
be pulled into the drilling machine, what's more you can move it on any sides
through the machine. Funny spectacle, isn't it? :-) Download
Natla's Mines-- The container
( Petunia)
Well, I found this bug because of my defective walkthrough-- I haven't got
the fuse from the conveyor belt but owing to the bug the container can descend
on the floor only with 2 fuses too and you can collect the pistols inside.
At this point you can see this dark grey, shadow container above it. This
is an interesting spectacle but you'd better choose the regular walkthrough!
:-)
There are two ZIPs. The first -"CorrectWay.zip"
(the correct way)-- contains 4 savegames. I saved the game from the small
nook to the Fuse which is at the production line. Naturally, it doesn't help
for the small building, because of the earlier TNT-explosion...
The second ZIP-- "WrongWay.zip" (the wrong way)-- also contains
4 savegames and this contains the pictures for these saves. The first shows
that the "explosion-lever" has been pulled. The second is about
the same: the TNT-boxes has been explosed already. The third is the bug with
the small building, what is the straight consequence of the early TNT-explosion.
The fourth is the bug what Pet' found: the pushable block is pushable through
the small "mine vehicle" with Lara Herself...

Chicks' hot & intimate hug. Lara just clings on Natla, pretty intriguing
tase she has, right ?
A weird jump on pressing Alt and turning on that winged thing by pressing
either direction. But just check out where Lara aims with her gun ! What on
Earth is she shooting at ?? :-DDD SaveGame
TR1 - "Natla's Mines" -- The cruel Cowboy... (Sender: Zebius/TRC-Forum)
Recently I discovered a bug in TR1 Natla's Mines, which is connected with another bug already discovered by Petunia (the movable block). Last time I played this level wrong way and pulled this block into the drilling machine. Afterwards I went into the tunnel and to that big room with lava and met Cowboy, he started to pursue me. I ran away, but I had no guns yet so I could not kill him. He did not let me to move the block to the right position to reach the lever in the tunnel. So I decided to trap him in the room with drilling machine by closing entrance to tunnel by the block. I did it and then: Suprise!: Cowboy is shooting through the block and I had to use many medipacks to move this block to the right position but that's not all - Cowboy went through the rocks somehow from the above and appeared in this small space in tunnel where the block was situated although the block was still blocking an entrance. Cowboy was still shooting at me. I managed to move the lever in the tunnel but soon I ran out of medipacks, and I could not unblock the entrance and Lara died. So I had to load my previous savegame and do this correct way. I attached 3 savegames for the above mentioned bug in Natla's Mines. First one is made before the action, so you can play it by yourself, just be quick, Cowboy has no mercy and he doesn't know what the fair play is :) The others are made during this buggy action: Second savegame: Cowboy is behind the block, but when you withdraw few steps, he'll manage to get through the block. When you pull the block backwards he will shoot through that block and hurt you. In third savegame you can see Cowboy's shadow on the ground - he's walking through the rock above, then he's jumping out off the rock though there is no passage there.
The Great Pyramid: When Natla recovers her consciousness she'll stuck in a narrow space and it will be her limbo forever. You can continue the quest without having to bother about her anymore. Savegames
Atlantis: I tried to leed the mirror-Lara into the trap but the door didn't open.I started looking for her and found the poor soul stuck at the lower part of the pillar. She was just lying there but finally managed to stand up when I came close enough. So I missled her again but now I paid attention to perform the entrapment perfectly.Download
Atlantis -- The invisible
door-blockage... (Discovered by Clau)
In the saved game, there's an invisible field just before the closed door.
We'll bump into an invisible wall while trying to get closer to this door.
( Clau)
This is a known bug for me, it appears randomly in the TR-series, altough it hasn't officially been noted yet. Some doors act out like this when they are closed in a single passageway. As we can see in the picture, we are running into an invisible blockage while trying to run against the door... (SYS) Download
TR1 - "Atlantis" -- Interesting savegames... Senders: Nicky (TRC-Forum), Neteru (TRC-Forum), Lacek, SYS...
This is a small savegame-collection about our little "Atlantis-playing"..it has some funny stuffs and some not yet documented bugs too... We attached pictures and comments for every savegames... This is a co-operative work/experience... :)
Savegame.0 (SYS) - Bacon underwater: "underwater winged bacon man"... :)
Savegame.1 (SYS) - Lara and the Centaur stucked into each other in the corner
of the "Beast Room"... :D (funny, and they almost can't hurt each
other)
Savegame.2 (SYS) - Coffee-break in "Atlantis"... Scary, huh? :)
(nothing special)
Savegame.3 (SYS) - This is the bug what I mentioned on the TRC-Forum too:
the double won't move anymore. You can fix this bug if You slide down into
the room again... (known thingy, officially documented)
Savegame.4 (SYS) - The dead double is still trying to do the same as Lara,
and it's still able to shooting too... (known thing)
Savegame.5 (SYS) - Lara's double after its resurrection. After You killed
it, save and reload, and then slide down into the room again... (known thing,
I guess) Unfortunately, if You kill it again and again, that doesn't increase
Your Kills-counter (I think killing the double doesn't count as a kill)...
Savegame.6 (Neteru) - A "corner bug". This time Lara gets thrown
up onto the block again, but the double gets stuck at the corner. Load the
savegame and jump once.
Savegame.7 (SYS) - The same as Net's, but I "resurrected" the double
first. Then it followed Lara onto the top of the block, so even the "corner
bug" doesn't matter either: it follows Lara to everywhere and anyhow...
Savegame.8 (SYS) - I saved my game right when Lara was jumping, and then I
reloded it. Now the double couldn't follow Lara, but then where it is?! ;)
Savegame.9 (SYS) - So, here it is (1st picture): halfway between the ground
and the top! ;) Second picture and text by Neteru: "Ladies and Gentlemen,
welcome to the 2004 International Doubles Ice Skating Championships. And now,
performing 'The Atlantis Waltz', Lara and Lara." (SYS: MegaLOL!)
Savegame.10 (Nicky) - Clap-clap! :)
Savegame.11 (Lacek) - The hidden Uzi Clip... Take a look at the picture, and
you'll see immediately what I was talking about. I marked the Uzi Clips with
red circles. The left above the slopes is the hidden one, and the other is
which you can pick up.
Savegame.12 (SYS) - Invisible block behind the door. It's an already known
bug too: the first example was sent by Clau, and that was from "Atlantis"
too, as I remember...
